Lots of Bluegrass!

*WHEW* We had a lot of bluegrass last week and it sure was fun.

Wednesday evening Don, Dean and I were at the Mill in Iowa City to listen to the Burlington Street Bluegrass Band and sat with Mark and Joy from Castle Ridge. They got up on stage for a tune or two. Joy and Al Murphy did a fiddle duet--Sweet! There were two brothers from Tipton on mandolin and banjo that got up on stage (backed by Burlington Street) and they had a great sound - great harmony.

Friday evening we went to a jam led by Keith Y. Some of our Marengo pals were there as well as some of the Castle Ridge band and a lot of other great pickers.

Saturday night we went over to Tama to listen to Highway Home and really enjoyed it.

Tomorrow we're heading to south of Indianola at the invitation of our pal "Big Max" to do some pickin'. Looking forward to seeing him again (and his dog, Ben, of course!)

Hopefully we'll be back in time to hit the road to Tama again to hear Castle Ridge play.
