Can't believe it has been so long since I posted. We've performed a lot since then - at a tractor ride, Fall Festival, small bluegrass festival east of Anamosa, a nursing home, at Gabe's open mic, and (this takes the cake) at a Halloween wedding with the bride and groom dressed like a zombie bride and groom. They were married under the full moon followed by fireworks and a great party!
You run into some fun things through years of performing. I told Don that we've played for lumberjacks, corporate gatherings, bikers (both bicyclists during RAGBRAI, and motorcyclists) and now zombies! The lumberjacks were a riot!
Jon has been coming to practice off and on and we've been working on new material ... having a great time. We plan on going to Gabe's open mic this coming Sunday (Nov. 8) to try out some of our new tunes, just in case someone happens to read this, so come on up!
and the joy easily spilled over to the audience. Well done!"
