Spring is coming!

Well, it is a very foggy day here today. I prefer to think of it as a spring fog. Snow is melting and we can finally see bare ground!

Went to hear the Henhouse Prowlers, a band out of Chicago, at the Parlor City Pub & Eatery in Cedar Rapids. Great bluegrass sound, tight harmony and instrumentals ... really enjoyed it. Met some other bluegrass fans there.

Good news! Mike Maas, a long-time talented Cedar Rapids musician, has been sitting in with us playing dobro and adding great harmony. We're having fun working him into our sound.

We received both our Tri-State Bluegrass Assoc. and Bluegrass Music Assoc. of Iowa band & festival guides, and are poring over the upcoming bluegrass season. Kinda like getting seed catalogs to pore over before gardening season starts!

For those of you on facebook, I set up a Riverbottom Ramblers page, but since I'm so new at it, not sure what I'm doing as yet. If you are on facebook, look us up and once we have some members I'll start posting there as well.
