MUSIC ON MAIN ....
We'll be performing from 7 to 9 p.m. at the bandstand on Main Street in
Solon, Iowa, Wednesday, June 4th. This will be (I think) our 4th
appearance at "Music on Main" and it is always an enjoyable crowd.
Bring your lawn chairs to sit back and listen!
THURSDAYS ON THE SQUARE - We'll be performing in Tipton on Thursday, June 26th at the gazebo on the courthouse square, next to the farmers market from 5 to 6:45pm. (This was rescheduled from June 19 due to rain.) Bring lawn chairs! There is food available, so plan of having supper too!

MAY EVENTS
Well the weather demons were out to get us on May 12th when we played at the Oxford Farmers Market! It looked like it wasn't going to rain, so we headed out to Oxford only to be greeted by downpours interspersed with sprinkles. But we fooled the demons and played acoustic bluegrass under the shelter, taking breaks when the rain on the metal roof was too loud. We had a good time in spite of the weather - a nice cozy atmosphere. It is a charming market with good vendors and always a food vendor to supply you with a supper while you sit on picnic benches and listen to music. Check them out sometime - they have music at all market dates. http://oxfordiowa.us/oxford-public-library-market/
The weather wasn't cooperating very well for the following weekend when we traveled to the Southeast Minnesota Bluegrass Association's (SEMBA) bluegrass festival at Cushon's Peak Campground near Houston, MN. We arrived Thursday afternoon and spent a couple very chilly nights snuggled under our sleeping bags with the heater going all night. But, Friday afternoon and Saturday morning we had fun performing on the open stage and backing some others up as well. The weather warmed as the weekend progressed and Sunday was beautiful! The band line-up was great! We were honored to perform as a guest band for the Saturday night show and would like to thank John Campbell and Darrell Ottman for arranging it for us. If you have never been to this festival, you need to go! It is located in the Root River Valley - just beautiful surroundings and on the Root River Bike Trail. They have a festival every May and August. The next SEMBA festival is August 14 through 17. Here's their Facebook page and their web site
