Celebrating Forty Years

All the current and former Riverbottom Ramblers members got together at Die Heimat Next Door Event Center in Homestead, Iowa on October 29, 2016 in recognition of the 40th year since the band was founded in 1976.  There were 17 of us present with only two missing.  They came in from Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and two from Colorado, all eager to see old friends and play some bluegrass music.

 In the afternoon we  talked, laughed, jammed, and had a wonderful meal catered by T.C. Bonez of North Liberty, Iowa.  The evening the "first band" performed a few tunes, followed by the "middle band" and the present band.  Several members also treated us with solo performances. It was a great, great day full of music.
